I heard that Mamiya is working on a back which will fit the RB 67. Are there alternatives?

you want to post this in the MF board.

any digital back that fits a 645AFD can go onto a 67 with a converter

this is great for some as you can shoot uprights and get good flash synch speeds unlike with the current 645AFD

those chips are of course around 645 size so you get a big 'crop factor' when using a 67

there is no announced 67 size chip

different digibacks will interface with the 67 at different levels of integration - ie some will need a cable to fire some will integrate fully

ps I dont know about the RB 67 I think most people talk about the RZ67 - I dont know the difference

You can place any of the Phase One backs on an RB, but you will need an adapter that is about $625.00.  That adapter plate is fitted with a Hasselblad V mount (older style 500 series).  There are a few cables involved when attaching it, but it is a reasonable solution if you have a RB system already.

Any thoughts on the quality/usability of the RB lenses for digital capture?  I'm referring to the newer lenses.
