Sony is gonna have the same problem as Olympus has right now. very good lenses but priced way out of range of most people.

Well, they are a bit more expensive than the Canon/Nikon equivalent, but not really much so.

My view is that the Sony 25 MP DSLR and lenses will be a huge success. I hope that Nikon will react quickly to this one.

Cheers,
Bernard

Agreed.  A fullframe, 24.6MP camera for around $3000-$4000 is what it looks like Sony is bringing.  I think that, with the current and upcoming Zeiss', will be popular with medium format digital dreamers.  ie.  fashion, portrait, landscape, etc.

Last summer, Sony released the pics of eight upcoming lenses, and we've just gotten two of them recently, the Zeiss 24-70mm 2.8, and the 75-300mm G.  Of the six left, two more appear to be Zeiss'.  A 24mm 1.4, and a 16-35mm 2.8   These numbers aren't confirmed, but I'd bet they're accurate:

I realize that Popphoto isn't the best source for a lens review, but some of you may find their new Zeiss 24-70mm review interesting.  Tested better than the Nikon and Canon:

p.s.  the lenshood is metal, not plastic like the review says.
