This is a picture from one of my favorite locations. I am never getting tired of photographing this river and the mountain in the background in different seasons and in different weather. I really appreciate comments on how to improve the picture.

Hi Bernt,
I think you answered your own question in an indirect way "I am never getting tired of photographing this river and the mountain in the background in different seasons and in different weather" - thats the key.
The danger we all have is of getting too aware of our favourite subject matter, if you were to spend a year in Africa and came back to the amazing landscape that you have on your front door/back garden then I'm sure you would see things in a new light. The technical excellence you have could be conspiring against you - you need a happy accident - a stunning result you did not expect (i'm starting to sound like one of my lecturers from art college many years ago) I leave you with an extract from a Patrick kavangh poem
Advent
We have tested and tasted too much, lover-
Through a chink too wide there comes in no wonder.
But here in the Advent-darkened room
Where the dry black bread and the sugarless tea
Of penance will charm back the luxury
Of a child's soul, we'll return to Doom
The knowledge we stole but could not use.
