Steve Kossacks latest DVD

Hi,

just thought I would say that I enjoyed Steve Kossacks latest DVD on the Great Smokey Mountains,  I wouldn't say it is the best in his DVD series but it is still very enjoyable. I particularly think that the video camera work and editing is excellent and that Steve's photo's are also excellent, I'm always impressed with the composition of his images, probably because he see's an image that I would never see.

What I didn't like about it, well, thought he used a bit of it for advertising Singh Ray filters, not sure if he has some sort of a deal with them but it kinda looks that way and is a little annoying. Also, when he is giving some advice to his workshop participants, it would be nice if they could try and look even a little interested.


All in all,  I would cetainly recommend it and I will no doubt watch it several more times.

I bought his Death Valley DVD to help me plan my first ever trip there last year, and it was enormously helpful. Yes, he pushed Singh-Ray filters, but that seemed to be a minor part of it and easily ignored. I will get his Canyonlands/Arches video before I go there, and Great Smokies, too. I do hope he makes a few more sonn of places that I haven't gotten to yet.

I don't need his Yosemite at all; been there several times (including back when you could drive and park anywhere in the valley). Ah! Breakfast at the Ahwahnee in the good old days!

For someone like me who is unlikely to get to visit these national park areas the dvd's are great to watch and marvel at the fantastic views, hence why I appreciate the excellent camera work.  I thought his Death valley dvd was by far the best.

The death valley one was good but I liked the horsetail falls part of the yosemite one a lot.

Haven't finished the current one.  Interesting so far.

I haven't seen the Death Valley DVD but I was pleasantly surprised by the Canonlands one.
