Internet search (otherwise known as googling) nets this: IMDb (a link to Internet Movie Data Base site with a list of shooting locations for No Country for Old Men).

You are welcome!

I was thinking more along the lines of what places have people around here shot.

The U.S. is big.  New Mexico has a Las Vegas too.  There's probably about a half-dozen of them scattered about the western half of the country.

Thanks Guys

Obviously too much CSI reaches Oz and not enough reality.

Cheers

Actually much of it was filmed around El Paso, Marfa Texas, Alpine Texas and I think at least one part was the state park that butts up next to Big Bend... forget the name of it. They also mentioned Las Vegas, NM too.

Me too. Didn't Javier Bardem win the Oscar for his performance? He deserved it. Made my skin crawl.

It was filmed in West Texas.  Watch the "making of" feature on the DVD, which is now available for rental.  The Coens talk about the location.
