Seeking a small Windows tablet with firewire
« on: March 12, 2008, 12:19:12 pm »

I'm looking in to on-site solutions for shooting direct to a PC or tablet.  As I am using a Mamiya ZD, it has to have firewire.  Samsung make the Q1, but it seems the idiots dropped the firewire port in its current iteration, otherwise it would have been ideal.

Are there some more suggestions around for a small, affordable, compact tablet PC with firewire?

You'll probably have to get a tablet PC with a PCMCIA slot (I think they're called PC Card Slots now) and add a firewire PCMCIA card.

My spouse just received a Lenovo tablet PC from her employer. It has a 4-pin Firewire port and a PC card slot.
