Barbados is full of drunk people on cheap Caribbean hoildays and forms a transit point between aircraft and cruise ship. Landscape is flat, architecture is uninspiring and it is bereft of major interesting historical monuments. Not one of the better Caribbean islands for above water photography. However, should you have a water proof housing and PADI certificate (or equivalent) then things improve dramatically.
Are there any other islands you are thinking of going to?

Hi. Maybe I should have mentioned that I'm a regular visitor, and I love the place
There is a lot to photograph on Barbados: architecture, plant life, the charming and friendly people, the rugged east coast and the traditional long, more or less empty sandy beaches of the west coast. You can find some of my previous shots at:

What I was trying to find out if there's anything more systematic, like the excellent photographers' guides to the southwest and northeast USA.
