Ummm, Thierry, I think I saw the photographer just grab the e75 and revolve it without removing it. That was cool. I had to back up the video and go, "Woah, did he just.........Or was I seeing things?

Steve,

I knew that somebody would pick this up!

Yes, this is one of the first revolving adapters. Those are in production, but I haven't any firm availability date, since there are still tests running. It should be however soon and I shall certainly inform.

Best regards,
Thierry

You think you saw it, Steve?  Are you sure ; )  The act of the back revolving was shown four times (three times too many) in that video.

Now, where are eXposure software, and larger/square sensors?

I think I just couldn't believe I was actually seeing it. It surprised me to see that it was that far along. Didn't expect that...but pleasantly surprised.

why so surprised? I did inform long ago that Sinar will produce a revolving adapter and that it should be available in the 1st quarter of 2008.

I see that trust prevails!

Best regards,
Thierry

Addendum to my earlier post about the availability of the revolving adapter: the first batch out of the production are ready and awaiting the green light for the release. This should still be this month.

Best regards,
Thierry

Thierry,
What is the revolving adapter going to cost as compared to a regular eMotion interface plate?
Is there a button/lock to push before being able to revolve the digital back?
Thanks for all the answers,
Billy

Sorry Billy, I can't give any price as per now: these will be communicated by the distributors in their respective country.

It does not need  to release a lock or push a button to revolve, and there is a click-stop when in place.

Best regards,
Thierry

Thierry,
In the YouTube video, the eMotion digital back is shown revolving only with the waist level finder.
Does it revolve with the 90degree porro finder?

Billy,

This revolving adapter can be used (and does revolve) with the 90° and 45° finders.

Best regards,
Thierry

Thierry, this camera is gorgeous! It's a shame i can't buy it even if a want... Explanation:

About a year ago, I contacted the Sinar (and Leaf) dealer in Sweden (www.molanders.se) about the Hy6. I was very interested in the camera. I wrote my impressions in this thread and after a few days they just decided not to informe me of anything. They never gave me any information about the system or prices so at last I ended up with a H2 and a Phase One back. I was really dissapointed.
Now, one year after, I contacted them again (three days ago) showing my interest
in buying an Hy6. Just told them, give me the prices please? I have my stuff for sale for God's sake! And you know what? NOT A SINGLE WORD!!! They shoud be ashamed. Some one from Sinar need to go out and kick some ass...
Just for the record, I contacted F&H too. In the first email they gave me the price. Then I asked a few more questions and they stopped responding. Don't want to sell a camera either? Fine, I supoose I'll end up with the PhaseOne camera. No problem at all.

Samuel, I also had problems with Molanders. Fortuantely there are other dealers who can help. Complaining to Sinar can only help to improve the dealer network. They can't know if the customers never give feedback.

The UK suppliers havent tried to sell me an Hy6 yet or offered me a trade package on my H kit or sent me a leaflet or any prices or any e-mails (or Hy6 keyrings (thank god))

I get offers in the post to extend the warantees on toasters I threw away years ago from thier makers

Sinar must know who I am because they rang me up to ask me what seriel number back they had just sold me was

Chaos IMO

I've got a Hy6 body and adapter turning up next week (hurrah). I'll have a chat about your experiences with my Sinar rep as I find it rather disturbing.

If I don't respond to calls from my clients I deserve what will inevitably happen...
