CoolScan 9000 Error: Could not begin DRAG PROCESSI

Hi,

I have just started trying to use my Nikon CoolScan 9000 and I am getting an error: Could not begin DRAG PROCESSING.  Please close some open widows and try again.

Has anyone seen this error before?  Nikon support as of yet has no answers.....
