xp 64 bit drivers z3100
« on: March 04, 2008, 06:50:54 pm »

I am trying to install Qimage on a 64 bit XP pro install in vmWare.

When I try to install the downloaded drivers for 64 bit systems(expanded from "hpdjz3100serieswx64pcl.exe"), I get a message that the drivers I am installing are for 32 bit systems, and the install fails.

Anybody else have the drivers installed on a 64 bit system?

Thanks, Bill

I just completed building a new machine with Intel Extreme processor etc. and have install XP x64 so this is not good news if there is a real problem!

I will try tonight and post back tomorrow early a.m.

good luck

I was able to install using the full (~80mb) standalone installer. As far as I can tell the smaller (~12mb) installer is not for 64 bit, as it claims.

Thanks for the update Bill.

Can you please give me your thoughts on Qimage? I am currently looking to purchase a RIP, but the pricing is just over the top.

best regards

Thanks much for that thread. It is very informative to say the least. I will download the trail of Qimage tonight and give it a whirl as it seems more then worth the small price.

Just a note on their web site they state that Qimage is full compatible with Vista 32/64, but they don't mention XP 64??? Anyone know if it works with the 64 version of XP?

thanks again for the tips!

I want to know if it's compatibile too.

the 64 bit driver works just smooth in my intel Quad 6600 / x64 based system, I print only by cs3. Haven't tried Qimage since the result from my former system (x64 w/ Pentium D920) is just not stable. so I can't evaluate it thoroughly.
