Taking a poll... Fav Double-Sided Paper
« on: March 01, 2008, 09:30:34 pm »

Curious what people are using.

Most interested in a bright white and something in the ballpark of 260-310 gsm. Using in an Epson 4800.

Thanks for you input!

I use Moab Entrada 300gsm. It's coated on both sides. To me the prints are
gorgeous. Textured imagery looks like you can feel it if you touch the paper.
This is because the paper has a bit of "tooth". If your images have the detail
the paper will show it. I prefer the natural but it also comes in bright.
It's worth a try!

Thanks, Walter!

How about durability? Naturally, fine art papers are more delicate, but i find some more so than others... toothy papers maybe being the most susceptible because fibers get smashed down.

Seems to me for instance, that Epson Velvet FA mars easily, Hahnemuhle German Etching not as easily. Hows the Moab handle?

thanks again

The surface will scuff as many will. Use interleaving tissue between prints. I print on
24" x 36" sheets and with diligence I don't have any problem. You must have a print
storage solution for whatever paper you use. Since the paper is coated on both sides
you effectively reduce costs in half for test prints!

Inkjetart Duo-Brite Matte Premium.  Excellent 17X22 prints for a dollar a sheet.  Double-sided, of course.
