I lived in So. California for 26 years, and Bolsa Chica wetlands gave me more good photos than all other locations put together. You can shoot birds off of the bridge, many animals, snakes and birds from the trails, even jellyfish in the water. I've stood 6 feet from hummingbirds for several minutes, and shot a coiled rattlesnake from the same distance. Kites, hawks, kestrels, vultures, and more. And there are excellent vantage points for landscape photos.
