Ummm....
Yuck?
I have no problem with real world nature photographs; after all, predator/prey reality can be pretty gruesome. But there are ways to show what can be grim reality in an artistic, rather than clinical fashion. I am reminded of Jim Brandenburg's sad but striking image of the reflected sky seen in the eye of a dead (poached) deer.

Owls tend to prey on things they can swallow whole, so that leaves them out.  Eagles are big enough to carry away an animal that size.  Based on what's left, I'd say a land predator, possibly a fox, although even a fox would have likely carried away the animal before consuming it.  Could even be a big house cat.

The angle is clinical and makes it a boring. Why not kneel down and get a different angle? Come up with an unusual sight!
