Um it's intro price is $599 and the normal price is going to be $749 for 44" printers... I would hardly call that affordable... I can load Windows, parallels and Qimage for less than that and its a proven solution.

Not as affordable as Qimage but more affordable than anything else including the RIPs I see people buying now. And some people would rather pay a little more and stay on the Mac. Educational and smaller format will be very affordable.

Trying to download this gets me " under construction..." page. Is this vaporware?
No, not even the demo is out yet. Two more weeks people. It hasn't been announced yet - they are gearing up for the release.

Amadou just told me about it and I thought it was relevant to the thread. I really don't know anything about it other than what is presented on that page...
And if you had read this thread you would have noticed that it was already mentioned by someone else on the street who knows about it. :-]

my apologies, a rebuff is so much more palletable with a :-] stuck on the end, eh?

There is a new print tool for Mac called pdq.
Take a look at their video :

Currently supports designjets, but they told me an Epson version is underway.

Good to see something for the Mac niche not filled by Qimage. Thoroughly tested on the use of V2-V4 printer profiles etc so there are no surprises?
