Rollei 6008 and Phase One
« on: January 28, 2008, 09:33:34 am »

We just got word that we can get Rollei 6008 users any model of the Phase + backs in the 6008 mount for an additional $2990 . This has to be specified at time of order and is on new P+ units.
These units have been offered by Rolleimetric in Germany for sometime.
I am awaiting info on turnaround time which I will post when I receive it.
So if you have interest please pm or email.

thats great news, the more options the better. i guess it will require a cable from the back (or adaptor plate) to the lens?

No cable required.  It interfaces directly.

Can you tell us what Exif information is captured in the files?  I have the 6008 AF / p20 and would guess its the same, iow not much, but there's always hope!

Sorry, no EXIF information is transferred.    (I know, I am sad about this as well).   The electronic interface provides "release impulse" only.

Is it only available with Af camera and lenses and can you rotate the back or do you have to rotate the camera.

geesbert,

the new camera is branded as "Sinar Hy6", as "Leaf AFi" and as "Rolleiflex" Hy6 (Franke & Heidecke).

Jenoptik (owner of Sinar) has given the rights to sell it with digital backs to Leaf and Sinar. Thus, the Sinar Hy6 model will accept Sinarbacks and Leaf Backs and the Leaf AFi model will accept Leaf backs and Sinarbacks, nothing else.

The Rolleiflex Hy6 will be sold through Franke & Heidecke as an analog system only: that is what has been announced officially by Jenotpik AG.

Best regards,
Thierry

The Rollei 6008 and Hy6 are two completely different mounts, in the same way that Hasselblad V and Hasselblad H are.
