Hi,
sorry for this - off topic - posting. I was about to buy the Canon 50/1.2L and I was scared of the process. I use 2x1DsMkII and 2xDMkII, don't count my L-lenses. And everything with problems, even after service. Only 1 example: the two 24-70L I use are completely different, one is good between 24 and 35, the other one only at 70.
So I went to my dealer to try the 50Ls in his store. What shall I say? I left the store without a new lens and went to the jewelry shop to buy a swiss watch I dreamed of for some time. Perfectly crafted. I think I overreacted. But the watch is wonderful: I can use it for longtime exposures and as a compass.
I think about changing my subjects and go for ALPA, SWISS made.
Best,
Johannes
