Just posted today (1/07/2007) at www.HasselbladUSA.com & www.Hasselblad.com;

"Between now and March 31st, 2008, we'll give you a new case when you buy the new H3DII-39 or H3DII-31 kit. And sure, it's a really nice case. But when you get right down to it, it's what's on the inside that counts.

That's why you can special order your new hard shell carrying case with your choice of a Hasselblad HCD 28mm or HC 120mm lens, a 100 Gig ImageBank, a free copy of Victor magazine, a one year's subscription to Victor magazine, and – naturally – a new Hasselblad H3DII-39, the world's first 48mm, full frame digital camera system or a new Hasselblad H3DII-31, ideally suited for mobile digital shooting.

And to make it even more interesting, with online registration, we're giving you all of this at a special order price that is over $2,000 off the combined normal retail price."

You can follow the link below, or contact your local Hasselblad dealer, for specific configurations and details:

In the UK, Hasselblad dealers are giving £4000 - that's UK pounds, not dollars - off an H3D39mk2 if you trade in almost any old digital slr. (I traded in an old Nikon) There are also big discounts on 31 and 22 models. No, I have no connection with H or any dealers, just wanted to spread the word for anyone considering the purchase. I was going to buy anyway and it saved me almost £4K!

Did the same.  Just before Xmas I traded in an old Canon EOS worth less than £100 and received the £4k rebate.  I am absolutely staggered with the quality of the Hasselblad (when I get it right).  Was in the Congo shooting Bonobos.

Dustbak,
     What exactly are you trading in, and what are wanting to upgrade? Today you can combine the $5,000 H1/2 Body Trade-In with a "Trade-Up" to a new Hasselblad back or H3DII system.

Also, please note the updated info in my original post.

Regards,

Jordan

I want to trade-in my 384 for either a cf39ms, a cf22ms or a h3dii39ms. This I planned to do somewhere middle of this year, in between seasons (fashion/clothing/accessories photography) so I have some time to work it in.

Gotta wonder why multi-shot backs are not part of this offer?

Also, a complete kit (i.e. including 80mm lens, which most users will still have to buy) could be offered for very little extra money. But, maybe I'm being picky........

When I have a really good year (like last year) I might be tempted to upgrade my CF39 & Ixpress384 to the H3DII31 + a H3DII39MS.

I think the MS solutions as well as other solutions can be discussed. Maybe it is too much to include every possible combination/solution.
