What is the best way to move my photos from multiple external hard drives and one internal hard drive to a larger external hard drive?

LR database files are on my internal C: drive.

My current year's photos (2007) are on a secondary internal hard drive (D:).

Each previous year's photos are on external hard drives - e.g., one external HD for 2006 one for 2005 etc.

I want to move all photos onto one new large USB external hard drive so that I can have full access to all photos without having to plug multiple hard drives into USB ports.

Click + beside Folders and select the New Drive as the folder.
It will attempt to import everything from this drive, so it's best to do it when the drive is empty. Then move the folders into this new folder inside Lightroom. When this is all done you can click on the top folder (which is the new drive). Then Click - beside the word folders. A dialog will come up with 3 options:

Promote Subfolders | Cancel | Remove Entire Folder

You want to choose Promote Subfolders. The subfolders will now populate the Folders list.

Just make sure you haven't clicked on a folder first otherwise you'll be stuck in the "create folder" mode.  If you have then just click on Library or a collection then click directly on the + next to Folders.  You should then get the choose folder dialog.
