In his review of the Nikon D3 James Russell states that he did significant work with the images in photoshop. I really like the effect he achieved. Does anyone know how he might have achieved this ?

this is the " new york look" ie cross processing. easy enough in acr/lightroom; using the calibrate, hsl, and split tone panels, with possibly a few local edits in photoshop.
