5d timed exposures

hi, if anyone can help i want to use my 5D to take an exposure every half hour over 48 hours is this possible?

Yes it is possible, but you need the TIME REMOTE CONTROLLER TC -80N3.

I find this to be one of the best accesories for a Canon camera.

I'm not sure but I think you can also do it with the camera tethered to a laptop

The Timer Remote can definatly do it.

Another option is to tether, with something like this software http://www.breezesys.com/DSLRRemotePro/index.htm

I havn't used it personally, but looks interesting for tethering.

thanks im going to be setting it up then leaving the scene, the camera will be safe but just need to know i can leave it and when i return it will have taken the timed exposures. laptop solution is a bit impratical but ill keep in mind for the future, timer looks like the best option

I wouldn't leave it anywhere too visible, otherwise someone might get a Christmas present...
