Phase One batteries and Charger - Alternatives

I just bought a universal camcorder battery charger (comes with lots of shoes) that can charge the my P45+ batteries. The salesman told me to get a 5Ah Canon camcorder battery, it would seem these physically larger batteries would fit on the P back on the Mamiya without any problems, but they're very expensive - for now.  On the other hand, having a battery that would last longer sounds attractive.
