When is Focus Drift an Issue.....?
« on: December 18, 2007, 11:52:29 pm »

i just heard about lens focus drift from a recent article on here, that is point of precise of focus shifting when closing down..

im curious to know the situations where this should be taken into account...magnification, focal length, film/digital format (DSLR/MF...).

thanks

I'm also curious, from the article it would seem to be a problem everytime you don't shoot wide open, up until you hit about f/11 (at least with the author's setup).

i'm going to see if my dslr will change it's focus if I focus whilst the dof preview button is pushed.
