HP B9180gp
« on: December 17, 2007, 09:00:52 am »

I have decided to buy a printer after a very long time. The HP B9180gp seems to be an excellent choice.

I noticed it is delivered with a colorimeter and profiling software but everywhere I look I see being mentioned it is for screen calibration.

I already use a spyder2Pro for this so I don't need that. I thought this one should be for profiling paper   ?

HP support tells me first it is for screen calibration and in a later stage tells me it is for paper profiling. Not really comforting I must say.

Can anyone shine some light on this?

Allright, I was afraid it was. In that case I better order the 'regular' B9180.

Thx!

Can you sell your spyder. The puck is a Gretag I believe, which most find better than the spyder.

Out of curiosity ... does anyone know if the hardware/software sold with the 9180gp is identical to that sold with the z3100gp?
