Looking for a Phase Dealer
« on: December 01, 2007, 05:13:27 pm »

I'm comparing the P25/ Aptus-22 and P30/Aptus-65 and need to find a good Phase dealer.  The local Phase dealer isn't price competitive to begin with, and then adding sales tax puts them around 15-20% higher from the other prices I've gathered during the last 12 months.  Looking for a U.S. dealer NOT based in Texas.  Thanks.

I would HIGHLY advise going with Capture Integration.  No better service provider out there.

My experience with Calumet's Irwin Miller is positive including competitive price, they have a new store here and distribute all brands, but, this is my first digital back, so I could not compare.

John

Not too sure what part of the world you're in but it doesn't matter - I'd still recommend Chris Lawery and Capture Integration.  Simply put, you can't go wrong!

Good Luck

Are u looking for personal or business use? If you need it for business, then you may have to pay Used Tax anyway, but it may depend on which state you are in.

You may try Linear Systems in CA. They have demo P25 for Mamiya AFD II at very attractive price. If you call, please ask for Stephen Monteros, and let him know I referred you. Good luck!!!

Thanks.

Global Imaging (globalimaginginc.com) based in Colorado has treated me well - my rep is Wesley Ferguson. Started with P25, then p45, now p4+ through them.

Also I just found out that Liberty (libertyphotoproducts.com) out of California is a Phase Dealer.   They are a very large supplier to the lab industry, and have perhaps the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Subrata - after a little back and forth and think we got it worked out.  The back and the AFD II (purchased elsewhere) should be here by the end of next week.  Its first pix?  All the Canon gear I have to sell to pay for this!

I have decided to go for P45+. Getting Mamiya AFD II body, 80 mm and 28 mm lens for FREE.

Most of my Canon gears are on sell as well (Canon 1Ds and many prime lenses). And I don't think I will regret either;

However, I will keep my Canon 17 - 40 f/4 L, 50 mm 1.4 & 70 - 200 f/ L IS to use with my Rebel XTi. I use my Rebel XTi for travel / casual photography and it is also the main camera for my elder son (he is 14+).

Thanks.
