Storing Files While on Holiday
« on: December 01, 2007, 04:00:41 pm »

Does anyone know if there is any way to save RAW files on a LACIE external hard drive without having a pc to connect it to?  I am planning a long holiday for the near future and don't feel like taking the Laptop with me.  Any ideas of how to go about it?

You could pull the drive from it and put it in a hyperdrive space ...

I have an HP iPAQ hx2790 Pocket PC and was wondering whether there is anyway I can use it to transfer files from my camera CF card to my Lacie external hard drive.

Do they (lacie and HP) interconnect?
I think this would take a long time to transfer anyway.

Darkpenguins advice of a hyperdrive is good BUT I think your Lacie has a 3.5 H/Drive while the Hyperspace is a 2.5 H/Drive.
So get a Hyperdrive with a pre-installed disk - though the installation procedure is very easy any way.

A alternative method, would be to do research on where you are going to find if there are any internet cafes or hotel Business centres, where  you could transfer data.
