SINAR Capture Shop version 5.5.1
« on: November 30, 2007, 08:55:31 am »

Since installing the most recent version of Capture Shop 5.5.1, I have been unable to "QUIT" the application and must use the "FORCE QUIT" alternative.  Am I alone in this circumstance?  What have you done to restore the expected functioning of the "QUIT" command?

Jerry,

I think you should provide a computer profile from the Mac Profiler and send it to our tech, as well as a "crash Log" if the software crashes (Library ---> Logs ---> CrashReporter).

Only this can help our tech to address a possible issue.

please send to tech@sinarcameras.com

thanks and best regards,
Thierry

Thierry:

I did some experimenting this morning; and found that I was able to open and close the CS 5.5.1 application - as long as the camera was not connected.  I was not able to QUIT when it was connected.  Somehow, the camera the SINARCAM 2 camera is unwilling to let go.

Dear Jerry,

Leopard is not YET supported: tests are running currently until the next update is available, which shouldn't be too long.
In any case, do as I said and send a "system profile" to our tech with your explanation.

Thanks and best regards,
Thierry

Thierry:

I will send it when I overcome the technical hurtles of getting the file from the MacBook which is in the camera room, and not connected to the internet to the color station, which is connected.  Thanks for the good news about the coming update.

Can anyone send a system profile and crash reports to the tech email? We encounter many "unexpectedly quit" crashes. Many on just trying to quit the program. I do have CrashReporter now installed and can send the reports.
