Received my 1ds Mark III today

Only thing i am not happy about is that my 1DS2 'Really Right Stuff' L-bracket doesn't  fit.

Dang.  I'll have a hard time without that ... hopefully RRS will get the new one designed soon.

Just out of curiosity, we are planing a shoot out of a 40D, 5D and a 1DSM3 in a week or so.

Looking forward to seeing the results! I have a 5D and am wondering about what's next: new 5DII, DsIII, Nikon (; not that that's a realistic option what with my lenses all being Canon).

The RRS bracket for the 1D3 should fit the 1Ds3 since they are the same basic body design.

In fact, RRS advertise that the bracket fits both bodies

Kirk also shows their L bracket for the 1DIII is the same as the one for the 1DsIII.  I've used their L brackets on all our camera from a 5D to a Mamiya 645 AFD.
