Photo Storage
« on: November 26, 2007, 11:59:43 pm »

I noticed recently when I had a hard drive crash on me, that the photos were being stored in two locations by Lightroom without me setting anything up to do it that way.

I have the original catalogue folders, and then when I go into my Pictures (Vista 64) there are a series of other folders (2001 to 2007).

First things first, When I copy the images off, I ensure they're being stored with the catalogue, but for some reason, some of the images (not all) go into the other folders with the year dates. What further, they don't seem to follow a date order for those photo's, so I end up with photo's taken in 2007 in my 2003 folder and so on. (I've gone through and double checked that they have the correct time stamps, which they do, but they still aren't stored right).

After all that, is there a way that I can have Lightroom automatically restore the images in the dated folders back into the catalogue? ie. Rebuild the Catalogue?
