Anglesey, North Wales - a few recent shots
« on: November 25, 2007, 05:48:03 pm »

Weather forecast was good yesterday so out of bed early & off to Anglesey again, main objective was to catch a decent Penmon lighthouse shot - managed a few others too

My favorite is the pier (which I recognize from another post somewhere) Did you get the light beams the way you wanted?  They seem a bit more "outstanding" here

I like the third one (the pier) a lot. Wonderful colours.

Thanks guys - the 3rd shot is also my favourite.

Moreso because it is one of those "right place, right time" shots. I'd just stopped off in Beaumaris & wandered around looking for a photo opportunity when this one jumped out for a few fleeting seconds before disappearing again

What did you do to get the light rays to stand out like they do? I have a bunch of images where I cannot seem to find the right contrast/brightness settings to get them to stand out as much as I like.

I sometimes dodge and burn them.  The clarity slider in lightroom also helps.

Yet another new use for giant L lenses.  Very nice:)
