canon 1d3 and Photoshop CS2
« on: November 19, 2007, 09:56:19 pm »

I'm trying to process a raw file created with a Canon 1D Mark III with Photoshop CS2 (actually Creative Suite CS2) but the file type is not compatible with Camera Raw 3.7.  Is there a later release of Camera Raw 3.7?  Do I need to upgrade to CS3 in order to work with the new Canon cameras?  any help is appreciated.

Regards,
Fernand

Yes, although you could try converting your files to DNG and then see if they open.

Absolutely. Just go download the newest version of the standalone DNG converter from Adobe. Point it to a directory of 1DIII files, and then you'll have many options as to what kind of DNG copies to make, which will open in any old version of Camera Raw. It's not a perfect solution, but it's free.
