Barcelona ??? who were ?

We have won a little city trip to Barcelona.
I will be leaving here tomorrow and spend monday/tuesday/wednesday in Barcelona.

We will be in the la rambla.
I would LOVE to meet a photographer who is working there preferable in fashion or street photography, not for a long time (don't worry) but just to see how other people work and maybe for some nice tips.

Who can give us some tips for street photography, preferrable old or graffity.

Hey Frank, I live in Barcelona, but only work in Germany.

For Graffity take the train from the airport to the city center and you will spot some for a first impression. Raval is nice for street photography, the old Gotic barrio as well.

For all Barcelona there is an important rule, be really really careful with your euipment. At night and during the day. This is pickpocket/robbery city number one in Europe...!!!!!!!

On the way to the school of my kids there is a wellvisited touristic landmark, through time I know the tricks of the guys and who they are and still I'm amazed to see them "working" there every day successful their repertoire.

Be careful!!!!!

frank you on the street w/ your mam/aptus setup? I was in Philadelphia a few weeks back and
was a bit freaked abot having a stripped down 5D and a 50mm on the street...

Up till now I'm still in doubt what to bring.
With the mamiya I'm not a sitting duck because it looks old
With the Canon and 70-200 I'm like advertising, pick me pick me.

My wife is with me and our bags are closed with keylocks so I think I will bring the mamiya anyway, I will hit myself if I miss the most beautiful shots.

Decided to go with the 5D only.
The weather is rather dark and the 5D is than easier to shoot with.

gaff tape the 70-200 - takes the edge off, it's ghetto, but def. helps keep it a bit more low key...then peel it when you return.
