Refurbished Imacon
« on: November 15, 2007, 07:27:26 pm »

Hi all in a month or so Ill be looking to add a digital back to my Rollei 6001. Pretty much from everything I can see, the only options are the older Imacon backs or the newer Hassy CF backs, I know Sinar makes an adapter but Im not real familiar with their line up or support in the us.

Im considering either the 96c or the 132c, most likely the 96c.

Any one here using the a rollei/imacon combo? Do the imacon backs feature live view through flexcolor? (planning on adding a 23vxd soon also)

One more question, does anyone know of any dealers that carry refurbed imacons?

Thanks in advance, Kyle

I used to have a 96c and a 132c. All of them have live view through flexcolor.

I am using a 132c on my Rollei 6008i. It works great, once you are used to the fact that there is little communication between the camera and the back (so no shutter speed or aperture in the EXIF data) and you have to manually adjust the ISO setting on the camera.

That said, I use it not only for my landscape work, but for portrait and wedding (the formals) too. Great files!
