Phase 1 standard film curves and sharpening
« on: November 14, 2007, 07:48:08 pm »

Hi,
A few months back I purchased a 2nd hand P20 back and Rollei 6008AF camera.  Previous to that I never used C1 extensively.  Now that I'm working with the P20 files, I have been using C1 - the files are rendered nicely but its a stupid workflow to convert the P20 files in C1 then use lightroom for cataloging and sorting.  The converted P20 files are like 100mb or more and if I want to go back and tweak its a PIA.

I'd be just using lightroom out of the box, but it appears that C1 seems to be making a nicer file, perhaps due to their input profiles and also perhaps due to standard tone curves and sharpening (which aren't visible to the user as far as I can tell).

My question is has anyone gone through the trouble to figure out what works best for the P20 files in lightroom and build a preset that they would be willing to share?

If you still use C1 and prefer it, I'd also like to know why and what you do for your workflow.

Thanks,
Eric
