A buddy of mine just purchased a Sandisk III 4G Extreme card for his Fuji S2. After he formats the card there is an error message. Is the card too big for his old Fuji camera or is there a firmware upgrade that will allow his S2 to work with the card?

It will function in the S2, but only utilize 2gb.

Good choice!

Tell him while he's at it to get the fastest versions he can find. With the small buffer and slow download speeds of the S2, speed really does make a huge difference.

He's getting the Extreme III version...which should be fast enough for a new Nikon D300 in his future.
