Mamiya 35mm lens with P45

Everybody is talking about the 28mm mamiya lens. How good is the 35mm Mamiya lens with the P45? Is it sharp? How is distortion?

John is correct.  The 35 mm is o.k, but the new 28mm is incredible!  It has minimal distortion
and is very sharp in the center.  The edges can be a little soft at times, but should have tests sometime soon. It has a hefty price tag, but if you need a great wide lens, it's worth it.

Can you tell me about the shutter speed and apenture you used for the shot you posted? Did you blend a couple of shots or is this just one exposure?

I shoot mainly at night and the quality of the pic seems very high!
So I'm very interested.

Too bad there's some diagonal flare around the streetlights, you can really tell its a digital capture. For now :-)

30sec exposure sounds about right, I shoot with a canon 5d.
I found that I can use it up to 30 seconds with acceptable noise and flare.

To bad that at f8 in MF you have much more limited DOF. But I guess you can do longer exposures without quality loss?

Can you squeze longer exposures from the sensor? When does noise kick in?
I know P1 says exposures up to one hour, I like to see samples before I believe it :-)

I am pretty sure you can go longer than 30 seconds with the same results.  On my d70 and d2x I was doing exposures up to an hour with pretty much the same results as a 3 minute exposure.
So far on the P45+ the longest I have done was around 3 minutes - here -

The detail is amazing for a long exposure.  With my D2x you don't get any noise, but the detail does seem to diminish a bit and sort of smooth over.  With the P45+ it is as sharp as daytime.
