Processing - Where's the file?
« on: November 10, 2007, 05:55:55 pm »

I know this is a basic question but... when I process the file, stack or unstack, open in
photoshot, save the file, what is a quick way to "see" all the processed files in the folder & not the RAW files.

Is there a way to Search just the processed files? I shoot with a P30 & the raw file name
ends in .TIF - so I cannot do a search using .tif or .TIF

Many Thanks - cole

You can convert your files to DNG as soon as you download them., as I do - except for "+" backs where Adobe's DNG Converter hasn't yet caught up.

I think you will just have to use color or star codes when the processed files get created, or have them go to one folder and then you can select that folder of images in LR for them to be highlighted. The issue is the .TIF extension should never be used for a modern raw file.

My soap box: Phase did a huge disservice by naming their raw files .TIF. During their road show last year, I asked why in the world they did that and got an non answer. They just don't understand the impracticality of it. Canon learned their lesson with the original 1Ds. You can overwrite a raw tif with a processed tif and never recover the raw.

Thanks Bill - that a thought.  After downloading the newest DNG 4.2 converter this works great
on my P30+ files.
This will save me alot of searching time later.
