Sinar eMotion Brumbaer Question

yes and no. main difference is the workflow between phase and brumbaer.
the workflow is different. brumbaer allows to write all your white files in the same folder than the image raw files. if you drag this folder to the SW windows and that all are processed together . than all white calibrations in the folder are applied automatically to the corresponding image files and all are processed to dng with corrected shadings.

The first thought that crossed my mind in just reading the original post of this thread was,
did Murray photograph the WSF with the white plexiglas and with an additional 2 to 3 stops exposure?

The whole shoot was done on the 24mm at f/11. I made a White Shading File at the start of the shoot and another after the shoot at f/11.[a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=150506\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a]

I think so, Billy: Murray knows the method from our distributor and myself when we showed him the  eMotion and has used it intensively since. I guess that it is only a wrong color balance coupled with the use of the center filter.

Looking at the OP image,it looks to me like the display could have mixed fluro color balance?
Is there any tungsten around as well?

I'm getting the same feeling. I shot some interiors with mixed halogen and fluorecent lighting, i got the same magenta and green casts. It was shot with a 35 on the H series... so very different setup with no white reference files being made, but the same type color casts. My casts appeared in areas of lighting overlap, and had nothing to do with centerfilters or similar...

Hi Willem & Godtfred,

the magenta ring is not image specific - it is perfectly formed on every image - 50 images in a variety of lighting combinations.

It only appears on the Alpa with 24mm & centre filter.

I double shot much of the shoot too, using also a 6008 with a different back and a 40mm. There were no problems here.

Last night I processed the whole shoot using the 4 different WSF's that I have for that lens - some made on the shoot and some after. In lightroom I can compare the results and choose the best result for each shot.

I now have something i can send to the client.

In future the WSF will be made before the shot, for every shot.

That means the centre-filter could be the culprit?

it might be so, together with the wrong color matrix.
