Any experience with Red River Aurora Natural?
« on: October 21, 2007, 08:32:24 am »

Anyone have comments on this paper?

I had a sample and my initial impressions were it's fine for color where deeps blacks are not an issue but in black and white, you could definitely see that the blacks were not as rich as other matte papers.

However, one of the things that I have noticed is that when you soft-proof this paper (all the way with simulate paper color and black ink both turned on), for a matte paper, it is unbelievable.  There is barely a change between soft-proof and monitor image (when you keep doing ctrl/command Y), to the point where it is hardly worth making any adjustments.

Are their profiles that good?  Those of you who use the paper, do you find that the prints accurately match the monitor (in a color manged system where you have calibrated the monitor)?
