Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s a holiday for everyone. Not targeted to a particular group, religion, or war. A time to be with family and friends. And give thanks that our pale blue dot has made one more lap around our sunny star. The universe is so cool!

Although, I think October is a wee too early. Winter is not yet a foreboding presence. United States Thanksgiving is the forth Thursday in November. The landscape is a cold blur of silver grey sticks and evergreen points. Winter is not far and the fire draws folks together for warmth of all kinds.
