Ballintoy Harbor --- NI

Some more shots from Northern Ireland.
I took those at the harbor in Ballintoy. It's one of the most interesting harbors I've ever seen so far.

I hope you like the shots.

I like the perspective of the first one better than the second.  The third one has a great sky but the foreground seems a little... lacking somehow.  The 4th and 5th don't do anything for me, I'm afraid.  The colours are great with the last one, but the boat in the foreground bothers me.  I'd say either make it bright enough to see or dark enough to be silhouette.  As it is it's just sort of in the way.

My $0.02.

Hey Mike,

thanks for your detailed comment on the pictures.

Could you maybe explain why especially the 4th and the 5th picture don't do anything for you?
So what do you not like on them, what would you like to see improved, ... things like that.

Hi Sebastian:  I would describe them as 'nice'.  Technically good, well composed, just not outstanding.  Thinking back to film days, if, out of a roll of 36 images I got 2 or 3 that I was REALLY happy with, I figured I was doing pretty well.  If every image we made was 'perfect', we might get bored and stop challenging ourselves!
