Angle Finder C does not fit Canon 1D MkIII

Just got my 1D mk3 and in process of checking the camera out, discovered that, in addition to missing the eyecup, the back of the eyepiece is too large for my Canon Angle Finder C, which fits all my other Canons, including the 1V, 10D and 5D.

Anyone else have this problem, or is this a one off?

I am still waiting for the 1Ds MK3 to replace my 1Ds MK2. But I suppose, if indeed the angle finder is not matched for the new camera, I suppose the Live Video will do the job!

Reminds me to check mine, but I saw in another post that there should be another adaptor in the angle finder case that will work - take a look and see if there's another part in the case...

That's interesting - the adapter for the Angle Finder C that fit my 1D2 also fits the 5D (Ec-C) but the 1D3 uses the Ed-C adapter.

Glad I saw this, heading to Zion etc in Nov, and didn't realize I had another adapter in the box....
