Phase One Refurbs in
« on: October 02, 2007, 02:30:20 pm »

My Phase One Dealer has been  very good to me. So I thought I would post an unsolicited plug.
He called to let me know that the Phase One refurbs are in. I have already upgraded to the + Back, but they have some good prices on these.
I have seen people asking about them on this forum, they seem to be available now

Last time I put out prices here I got bashed by many dealers...:+}
But the Aptus 22 are around $13,500 refurbished!
And I am pretty sure the Phase ones are a little lower than stated above...:+}
I have a feeling they will come down even more once the 1DsMIII hits the streets.
I am seriously leaning towards the Leaf but cannot find any good information in any forums on them.
Atleast the Cons do not show up very often..:+}
Bottom line is a want to spend around 12-14K and I want to get the best deal for that price range.
I am also looking for the most stable back possible because where I live it is a PAIN to be sending off backs for repair. Could take several weeks just get in and out of customs!!
Thanks for any other information.
I really have to say my options are Leaf 22 Aptus, P25 or a P30 all refurbished.
The leaf being the higher priority because the files are easily opened in many programs and that will be easier for my clients.
Not to bring in the ZD but I did like the option it has to write RAW+Jpeg together, Sure makes editing much easier when you looking at 300-500 images a day

We also have some refurbished/demo units available that are not yet posted on the website:

Hasselblad H3D-39: $22,000 w/1 year warranty
Hasselblad H3D-31: $18,000 w/1 year warranty
Hasselblad H3D-22: $16,000 w/1 year warranty
Leaf Aptus 22 AFD:  $13,500 w/1 year warranty
Sinar eMotion 75:    $19,200 w/1 year warranty

And we usually have an assortment of lower end or legacy backs hanging around (Hasselblad CFV, Leaf Valeo 11, Sinarback 54H, etc).

A Leaf Aptus 22 for Mamiya AFD just ended on ebay for $10,200 US. Someone got one hell of a steal at that price. The seller was Midwest Photo Exchange, very reputable.

Anybody know if there is way to use the Leaf Aptus 22 with AFDII and the RZ?
Is there a plate like some other backs or do you have to send it in and have it set for the RZIIProD  ?
Thanks

There is one for sure.

There are few threads talking about the AFDII to RZ adapter, but the short cut would be to PM Yaya.

FWIW:
Here is a link to a Japanese Company that makes a 645AFD to RZ67 adapter plate as well as some other nifty adapters:

[a href=\"http://eco-digital.com/products/index.html]http://eco-digital.com/products/index.html

I have no experience with them and don't know if they have dealers in other countries.

We make 3 plates for the RZ to allow V, H and AFD mount backs to fit and work on the PRO, PROII and PROIID. One sync cable is required from the lens to the back.
All 3 plates allow also for the back to rotate landscape/ portrait orientations
In addition, one can use the Plate that Mamiya themselves make for the D, that takes AFD mount backs with the communication protocol similiar to the AFDII

Thanks Yaya...:+}
Do they cost an arm and a Leg?
So basically with your plate I can use my Leaf for AFDII on a RZ also?
Is it something on the fly or does it take a while put the adapter on.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for your help

The back clips onto the plate in the same way it clips onto the AFDII

The plate clips onto the RZ just like a film back.

Arm and a leg I guess are a relative term, but our plates are the cheapest AFAIK

Check with your dealer or contact [a href=\"http://www.leafamerica.com/contact.asp]Leaf America for the price in US

Do they support you for the life of the product?

By the way, the AFD to RZ adapter is $783 US.

Steve,

I know you would be the best choice for the best service. Some people on the forum are just looking for the best price and that's all my comment came from. I imagine the owner of that back from ebay won't have support at all to what you do for your customers.
[a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=143917\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a]

I was just curious - I really didn't know.

Phase One has just given their platinum dealers special pricing on demo non plus digital backs. These prices are well below the list prices listed above.  It is important to go to a dealer that gives strong technical support and isn't just a box mover.   Please call your local dealer to see how they can assist you.
