Canon DPP dosn't support OS10.4.10
« on: September 28, 2007, 10:32:28 pm »

Brought a Canon 40D recently and my Photoshop is CS2, I shoot RAW, the CS2 have no  camera RAW update so far or Adobe only update for CS3. The only tool for me to convert the RAW file is the bundle software from the 40D box, found the DPP dosn't work with Mac OS 10.4.10, call Canon told the DPP only work with OS 10.4.8 or below.

Am have to buy Lightroom for my RAW conversation?
Is Photoshop CS3 can perform the batch processing of RAW?

Thank you in advance for helping me the problem.

Try downloading the latest Adobe DNG converter and open the DNG files in your existing version of ACR.

I did this for a friend of mine so he could open his D200 files in CS.

I am running DPP (version 3.0.2) on my MacPro with no problem. I have the latest OSX  (10.4.10). You will also find the Canon Raw Image Task converter in the Canon Image Browser software.

At the present moment as I write this I am running Mac OSX 10.4.10 and Canon DPP 3..0.1.5 with no problems at all.  I don't doubt your experience, but it may not be the general rule.

Thank you for your reply.

My situation is the Canon DPP can install onto the Mac OSX 10.4.10, while connected the Canon 40D or the card reader, it show the frames in the DPP but can't see the pictures inside of the frame.   Am my setting have anything wrong. Or any setting needs to pay attention.

Thank you.
