40d ISO expansion
« on: September 22, 2007, 02:51:19 pm »

Hi there,

I am currently trying to do a noise test between a 40d and a 1d MKIII.

Although on both camera's the ISO expansion is turned on for some
reason I can't get the 40d to 3200 ISO and the MK III to H (=6400).

On my good old 1d this was never a problem. Both camera's are on Av
mode.

Any idea ??

Best wishes,

Tz

Just to be sure again tested it on my good old 1d, no problem.
Very strange. Is there an other setting blocking the ISO expansion ?

maybe you've set the new camera's to highlight piriority, that blocks the highest ISO [and also 100]

Yes, that's it. I just found it in the manual and it was ON on both
camera's. After disabling it the 40d will allow to select the expanded
ISO values. Took me some nightrest to find it.

40d = C.FN II 3

Thanks for your answer,

Best wishes,

Tz
