Late October Locations

I'm scheduling a 5 or 6 day trip between October 20th and November 2nd.  This being a good time for just about everywhere, I as hoping you all might have some recommendations.  I live in southern CA so the CA/Sierra/South West region is what I'm looking for.  I thought about the Zion area, but also the Sierra.  The Sierra are large with many options so it's difficult to choose.... Thanks!

You could head on up to Inyo Nat. Forest to shoot the ancient bristlecopne pines and then on up Mono Lake.

Or out to Southern Utah, Northern Arizona. The whole area is a shooters wonderland.
