At least, it works in French !

I used LR 1.0 FR, then LR 1.1 US then LR 1.1 FR without any problem.

LR is, at least from ver. 1.1 on, a multi language application - it will launch in the language you have set in the Regional Settings of your PC.
The only way to get an English User Interface on a PC with French or German Language Settings is to rename or delete the language folder you will NOT use in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.2\Resources" (on PC).

Yes...right click "Adobe Lightroom.app" in the /Applications folder in the Finder and select "Get Info", expand the "Languages" tab and uncheck "de" and "fr" (for more details read "http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2007/09/fine_tuning_language.html")

just food for thought: i called the Adobe helpline for that question and they told me that the serial number is language specific, so if i wanted an english LR and had already bought a German version, i would have to buy another one. the english versions are somehow 50% more expensive in germany.

Timely tip, Thomas, as I need to work with LR in EN and FR on a PC. Renaming the Resources folder is the best way to go. Thanks for presenting the solution so clearly when the Adobe people in France said it was not possible. Bill
