I spent 10 days there, be sure to go into the ranger station, any of them and ask the best places to see. I recommend Grand Prismatic, the boardwalk around Old Faithful, ask where the Harlequin Ducks are, hike out to the marmot fields at Indian Pond, checkout Mammoth Hot Springs the upper loop is spectacular and if you get up really early or stay out really late Lamar Valley has Wolves.
The road from Mammoth over to Fishing Bridge, Tower Falls, you'll probably see a bear or two. There is so much to see and do.
We were lucky a really good friend of ours is a Master Volunteer Ranger as well as a retired professional photographer so we had the ultimate tour.
Have fun there is a ton of things to see and photograph
Also a cool little town on the North end Gardiner MT, if you go up toward the working Gold Mine there's a pond with a shack that is great for photography.
