Breathing Color Elegance Velvet Platinum
« on: September 10, 2007, 06:01:17 pm »

I came across some old posts on another forum referencing this paper, checked out the site, and I'm interested in their fine art rag papers. There weren't any references here on that specific paper or may about Breathing Color in general.

Has anyone tried or used this velvet or any of their other papers?

I'm thinking about getting a trial kit, which isn't a huge investment. But if the overall consensus is negative I may think twice.

Thanks for any info.

I've used Breathing Colors Elegance Velvet on both Epson 7800 and Epson 9800 printers.  Very nice Fine Art paper.

The Allure is somewhat unique.  I like it for color but not for B&W images.

I use their Brilliance Chromata canvas frequently and like it.

I use Elegance Velvet a lot and much prefer it over Somerset Velvet for Epson. The Brilliance Chromata canvas is also excellent. I use both with matte black ink on an Epson 9800.

Thanks, Bob. I'm glad to hear you've been happy with it. I think I'll get the trial kit and see how it looks. The kit includes 20' rolls, so that should be enough for profiling and some good tests. I'll be using the Canon iPF5000.

BTW, BC has a new fine art paper, Optica One Smooth, that was just introduced.
