z3100 maintenance menu
« on: September 04, 2007, 07:50:54 am »

I can't find a post I saw here where someone talked about accessing the printers maintenance menu.  I want to be able to park the heads to the left temporarily to access areas of the printer on the right hand side for cleaning purposes.
Does anyone know where that was mentioned? I think it was under a header of a different title.

Thanks,
Charlie

Is this the thread you were looking for, Charlie?  It doesn't seem to have a lot of detailed info.

Chapter 8 of "Using Your Printer" covers removing print heads.  It moves the heads to the center of the carriage which might be enough for your task.

Thanks so much, Mike.  That's it.

To get to the diagnostics menu (ps model, I assume this works for non-ps as well):

- Power off via the Power button on the front panel.
- Press the Up Arrow and the OK button and hold them down.
- Keep them pressed and press the Power button and hold all three for 5 seconds.
