Strange ghosting in print
« on: August 25, 2007, 06:28:16 pm »

Hello,

I am printing some images with my z3100 and am getting a strange ghosting happening of other parts of the image showing up where they shouldn't in the print. THis happened both using the regular HP driver. and the photosmart driver. Not sure where it's coming from though, as it doesn't reproduce in the same place with different prints. I swear the paper is clean. I use gloves and don't even let it fall into the catch area. I've put two files image 2 with the problem and image1 a crop from the original file so you can check it out.

Mysteries of printing. If this was darkroom printing, I'd say the paper caught a focussed reflection off something in the darkroom but that's not what's happening here. If it was in the same place on the print, it would be my file. but it isn't.
Image 2[attachment=3081:attachment], and image 1 from the original file [attachment=3082:attachment]

Any guesses?
